Each year, Youth in Motion presents the Top 20 under 20™ Awards as part of its mandate to enable all youth to reach their potential. These twenty award recipients are nominated by their communities, and then selected by a panel formed from ‘Order of Canada’ members. Winners are judged based on their ability to innovate, lead and achieve.

Spark began working with Youth in Motion on the Top 20 under 20™ in 2009, where we stage-managed the awards ceremony. Building on this successful partnership, Spark was again asked to provide production services to the awards breakfast in 2010.

At our suggestion, a new venue was selected for this inspiring event– the Bay’s Arcadian Court. Spark also sought to elevate the caliber of production, adding significant contributions pre-event, including a custom PowerPoint template and a new script format for the ease of the emcee.

In addition, Spark managed coordination between the staging company and venue, developing schedules and script documents, as well as liaising with event emcee, reporter Omar Sachedina, to ensure comprehensive preparation. Spark’s team skillfully executed the stage-management of the awards ceremony for an audience of corporate partners, business leaders, excited parents and inspiring teens.
